Thrumbo told you, you need to find all the other body parts to kill the Necromancer for good, but you just went in and killed him without real backup. He ressurected himself, and killed Thrumbo after your first visit. You can go back into the Necromancers house and search the cellar. There you can at least find the heart to end the quest.
